Brazil Delas

Grown 100% by women farmers in Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro, this lot is sourced through the Café Delas Program, which supports women producers with better access to resources, training and market visibility. A portion of every sale is reinvested into programmes promoting gender equity and opportunity for women in coffee.

Coffee cultivation in Cerrado Mineiro began in the 1970s, when producers introduced techniques such as liming to correct soil acidity and irrigation to enable large-scale production. The region's relatively flat terrain makes harvesting more efficient, while its dry harvest-season climate supports consistent drying and stable quality. Today Cerrado spans 55 municipalities and 210,000 hectares of coffee, and in 2013 it became the first Brazilian region to receive a Denomination of Origin.
